Krassimir Halatchev, Chiwawa Band, Montreal

The band Chiwawa's core is Laurie Gordon and Krassy Halatchev, a Bulgarian-Hungarian combo living in Montreal. Their forte is heavy grooves and visceral melodies. On stage, Chiwawa electrifies as two and sometimes multiply into four or more bodies dabbling with electronic knobs, a drum kit, or solo violin. Besides being busy creating soundtracks for film and television, Chiwawa is about to release their 5th album Bus Stop Chinese Buffet on April 25th 2009.
